The PASGT (Personnel Armor System for Ground Troops) Vest and PASGT Helmet were introduced in the early 1980s, both made with Kevlar. The formal name of the vest is "Body Armor, Fragmentation Protection Vest, Ground Troops" but it was usually called the "PASGT Vest" or just the "flak vest" or "flak jacket".

I believe the ones marked "Band helmet camouflage US" are the "Vietnam era" bands without eyes and some of the early eyes bands. I'm not sure on markings, someone else might chime in on that but the material should be a give away. 80's eyes bands should be very similar material to vietnam bands and the others would be much different.
